Running back and forth carrying various items is fun, right?
These relay games are great active games that keep you all moving and laughing while having a friendly competition.
And if you don’t feel like running, that happens to me a lot, just get the kids started and cheer from the sidelines. That’s cool too.

Dr. Seuss inspired relay race. Run a green eggs race with Sam-I-Am in the backyard or indoors.
What You Need:
- green pipe cleaners
- white pipe cleaners
- hot glue gun
- spatula
Prepare green eggs.
- Make the egg white: Twist a white pipe cleaner into a swirly circle. You know like swirly lollipop. You might want to twist a few of them together to make a bigger circle.

The first player of each team runs to the other side of the room holding the egg on a spatula. At the end of the room they fill toss the egg in the air and catch it with the spatula.
Once they have done that, they run back and pass the spatula and egg to next team member.
Seussified fun is the best, wackiest kind of fun.

7. Crack The Eggs Race
Who would not want to stomp on eggs like a dinosaur… I’m sure kids would find that hilarious but for most of us parents (me!) the egg mess would be little too much.
So, instead of eggs, let’s use balloons.
What You Need:
- balloons
- paper bags or a blanket for a nest
How To Play:
- Make a nest with the paper bags.
- Place balloons in the nest.
- One team member at a time runs to the nest and cracks ONE egg.
- And then he runs back to the start line.
- Another team member runs to crack one and so on.
And of course, the team that cracks the eggs first, wins.
You’re thinking that now she is going to suggest awesome dinosaur ideas… and you are RIGHT!

We had two inflatable flamingos that did not fit inside the suitcases so the “tourists” carried them.
