Spa Party For Girls

I hosted a spa party for my girls several years ago. They loved it!

It was fun to make cute flip flop invitations, serve refreshing snacks, and to see the kids enjoying face masks, mani-pedis, and relaxation in the lovely spa.

Real flowers add a nice touch but artificial flowers can look awesome too like these daisies.

3. Wooden Letters

Spell the word SPA with wooden letters and surround it with flowers. You can buy wooden letters from stores like Hobby Lobby and Michael’s.

Welcome the guests to the spa with beautiful signs. Place one sign at the door and another at the check-in counter.

Candles, whether you choose to use real or led ones, create a beautiful, calming feeling.

4. Pampering Spa Party Activities

Your sweet daughter will cherish these awesome memories made at this party.

1. Yoga For Kids

Bring out the yoga mats it’s time to do yoga! The girls will have a great time trying out these easy yoga for kids moves with a fun instructor, Alissa Kepas.

Buy inexpensive yoga mats for everyone from Walmart or Dollar Tree. Or ask the kids to bring their own.

2. Manicure

Since you are in the spa, how about doing hand treatments with a sugar or salt scrub! Who would not love to have silky soft hands. And as an added bonus paint the nails.

Have several nail polish and nail art options available. These cute bows, butterflies, flowers and hearts will make the nails extra pretty. The kids will love them.

Basic Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of olive or coconut oil
  • 5 – 7 drop of essential oil (optional, make sure it is safe for kids)

Basic Salt Scrub

  • 1 cup of coarse salt
  • 1/2 cup of olive or coconut oil
  • 5 – 7 drops of essential oil (optional, make sure it is safe for kids)

I like Eden’s Garden essential oils. They have several options for kids too.

3. Pedicure

Get little buckets for the girls to soak their feet in. Fill the buckets with warm water and add some bubbles and maybe even rose petals.

Place a towel (a set of white 16 x 27 cotton salon towels) and a magazine on the chairs.

Decorate the chairs with flowers and ribbon or use theme colored chair covers.

Buy inexpensive foam toe separators from amazon or dollar store.

Let the girls enjoy a warm cozy foot bath and maybe even a foot massage and then take a moment to paint the nails.

4. Facial Mask For Kids

You’ll love to hear the giggles as the girls apply their face masks.

Make a simple Avocado Face Mask for Kids and put in little jars with a pretty label or ribbon.

  • 1 avocado, mashed
  • 4 tsp whole milk yogurt
  • 2 tsp honey

Apply to face with fingers and leave in for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Check for allergies before using any products on kids.  This recipe makes enough for 3-4 kids.

Provide everyone with a washcloth (roll up and tie with a ribbon) and a headband to keep the hair from going to the mask.

You’ll also need tabletop vanity mirrors or just simply use a big one on the wall or in the bathroom.

5. Relaxation For Kids

After all these beauty treatments it is time for relaxation. Diffuse a soothing essential oil such as Calm ‘Em Down.  A calming synergy blend for a beautiful relaxing moment.

Place pillows or folded towels on the yoga mats.

Play calming music.

Just breathe and relax.

4. Decorate Flip Flops

A simple activity for your spa party! Embellish flip flops with flowers, ribbon, and rhinestones. It is awesome to see all the beautiful, personalized creations.

5. DIY Bath Salts for Kids

This simple activity is fantastic! The kids can make their own bath salts and put them in cute little jars to be taken home.

You’ll need (for each kid):

  • 1/2 Cup Epsom Salt
  • 1 TBS Jojoba oil or MCT Oil (fractionated  coconut oil)
  • 1 to 2 drops of essential oil (optional)
  • glass jar
  • ribbon or jute twine (0ptional)
  • label (optional)

Mix the ingredients together and put in a jar.

DIY bath bombs for kids are also a really big thing now. You can find many awesome recipes online.

6. Make No Sew Headbands

In this video you’ll be shown how to make three different no sew headbands out of T-shirts.

Though in this video she uses old t-shirts you might want to buy new inexpensive new ones. Check out clearance sections and craft stores.

You could make these in the beginning of the party so the girls can use them during the facials etc.

7. Spa Scavenger Hunt

If  you think that this spa party needs little bit more of moving around, do a simple scavenger hunt.

Hide spa items around the party area. Or print out images of spa items and hide those. Give each girl a list of items they need to find.

  • Ice Tea
  • Fruit Infused Water

Fruit infused water is so easy to make.

A cup of fruit for 4 cups of water seems to work well. Chill in the fridge at least two hours but preferably several hours. Try various combinations.

  • Blueberries and oranges
  • Strawberries and cucumbers
  • Kiwi and strawberries
  • Raspberries and blackberries

3. Tiny Sandwiches
