Are baby shower favors required?
Baby shower favors are not necessary but often the hostess follows the tradition of giving small gifts to the guests. No-one comes to the shower expecting gifts… at least they shouldn’t.
You as hostess provide refreshments and some entertainment in addition to fabulous company.
How much should baby shower favors cost?
Typically the baby shower favors cost 1 to 5 dollars each. You can of course spend as much or little as you would like. But if you have a large crowd it can quickly add up.
Nothing wrong with cheap baby shower favors.
Some of the ideas in this baby shower favor list can be done for less than $1.
What Are the Best Baby Shower Favors
It’s easy to overthink this one. It is after all a baby shower favor and not the only gift the person will ever receive.
Of course you want it to be something cool, not lame. A favor that the guests actually want.
So let’s get started.
1. Edible Baby Shower Favors
Everyone loves to get edible baby shower favors. I know I do :). Those are fun to give too.
1. Popcorn
Popcorn is one the easiest and most delicious baby shower favors. You can pop your own or get already popped popcorn from the store.
If plain popcorn sounds blah, you can make it more fun.

Put the popcorn in bags or boxes and attach a cute tag.
TAG idea: “Ready to Pop” or “Thanks for Popping In”.
2. Cookies
Everyone likes cookies! And if they don’t I’m sure there is someone in the family that will happily eat this yummy baby shower favor.
You can get cookies in any shape from bakeries. But I know those can get expensive. So the easy solution is to make them yourself.
You could also get a box of cookies from a store and give them a makeover.
Get Oreos, wafers, Milanos… anything and decorate them to match your baby shower theme. Dip into chocolate or colorful icing. Drizzle with chocolate. Top with sprinkles or candy. Or write something on them like “baby”.
