It’s time to dig out the favorite sweaters and go to the pumpkin patch to pick up pumpkins for a carving party.

Hello fall. Things to do with your teen.

1. Sweater Weather

The sweater weather is upon us. At least for those of us in the colder climates. But no matter where you are, you can still make this theme a thing.

All those are simple fall fun activities you can do with teens.

If you already have enough sweaters but want to join the “sweater weather” crowd, get one of these lovely sweater weather mugs. You have four color choices. I love the plum color. Which one will you pick?

2. Pumpkin Carving Competition

Form teams or work alone to carve the pumpkins. Post the pictures on social media without revealing who did what. Let the friends and family decide who the winner is.

Or have a pumpkin carving party. Invite the friends over with a “Let’s Make a Mess” invitation, and spend the evening carving pumpkins and enjoying pumpkin treats.

If you need help in coming up with a design, take a look at these pumpkin carving stencils. There are lots of fun options for beginners as well.

3. Fall Games

Take some time to play fun fall games. You’ll have a blast with the fall minute-to-win-it games and many of the other games mentioned in this fall games article.

4. Corn Maze

Stroll through the corn maze together or see who can get out the fastest… no running allowed, of course. At least, I think that’s the rule at most corn mazes.

If you are fearless, go on the haunted corn maze night. That would be too much for me, but my teens would love it.

5. Fall Dinners

Make the everyday fall dinners memorable with fabulous fall dinner party themes. Relaxed Hostess (that would also be me) presents several fun fall party themes and ideas for each party.

6. Talk

  • Tell us about your favorite memory of the fall.
  • What is your least favorite fall tradition?
  • Do you like scary movies? Why?
  • What is the most terrifying thing that has happened to you?

7. Riddle

  1. What is a scarecrow’s favorite fruit?
  2. Why didn’t the pumpkin go out after Halloween?
  3. What room is left out of the ghost’s house?
  4. Why don’t skeletons watch horror movies?

The answers are:

  • straw-berries
  • He felt rotten.
  • The living room.
  • Because they don’t have the guts.

8. DIY Caramel Apple Bar

“Apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Yeah, I don’t think that applies to caramel apples.

What you need for your caramel apple bar:

  1. Washed and dried apples or apple slices on popsicle or lollipop sticks.
  2. Melted caramel. Just Taste has a simple apple caramel recipe.
  3. Toppings:
  • nuts
  • chocolate chips
  • shredded coconut
  • gummy bears
  • marshmallows
  • cookie crumbs
  • sprinkles
  • crushed Twix
  • pumpkin spice
  • cinnamon
  • crushed pretzels
  • popcorn
  • M&M’s
  • crushed Snickers
  • peanut butter
  • almond butter
  • sun butter
  • melted chocolate

9. DIY Coffee Mug Stand

Fall is the perfect time to get your coffee or hot chocolate bar ready.

Place your new sweater weather mug with the old favorites on a DIY mug stand. If there is no more counter space left for a mug stand, how about a DIY wall mug rack?

10. Books

Fall is busy for many with extracurricular activities. Still, perhaps your teen will find a moment or two of quiet for reading books.
