  1. Choose which stations you’d like to have.
  2. Plan the activities you will do at each location.
  3. Shop for the items you’d like to have at each station. Ideas are provided below.
  4. Print the needed signs, butterfly money, activity cards, games, etc. Please note that some of them work best if printed on cardstock or heavyweight cardstock. Some printers don’t handle heavyweight cardstock well; in that case, you could reinforce regular cardstock by gluing it to another cardstock page. Or print the page on sticker paper and attach it to heavyweight cardstock.

Overall Feel of the Party

Picture a beautiful summer day in a flower meadow or garden.

Adorn the party area with flowers, fake or real. Include fun details such as

  • butterflies
  • ladybugs
  • rocks
  • and grasshoppers.

Remember that little kids have awesome imaginations and will feel like they are in a butterfly glade also when surrounded by simple homemade decorations.

Fluffy tulle comes in handy. You can use it as a backdrop, table skirt, table runner, streamer, etc.

Shop for the Party Decorations

You’ll love this inexpensive butterfly party decoration bundle with a gorgeous backdrop, balloons for making a garland, butterfly stickers, and two lovely butterfly balloons.

It would be a fun backdrop for the birthday girl to take pictures with friends!

A perfect spot also for opening presents. Place a flower pillow in front of the backdrop for your child to sit on. Maybe some green tulle for grass.

I’ll also give you specific shopping ideas for each station.
